Types of Care

One-On-One Care

Your child’s oral health is our number one priority. They’ll receive one-on-one attention during all of their appointments. All of the services that we perform are healthy, reliable, and safe for kids of all ages.

Comprehensive Pediatric Dentistry

No matter what types of dental services your child needs, our office commits to providing exceptional care that ensures your child feels comfortable. Below are some of the services Beaumont Kids Dentistry provides.

Preventative Dentistry

We recommend that all our patients come every six months for a check-up and cleaning to prevent dental issues before they occur. During appointments, we’ll check to see if there are any underlying problems and if their teeth are growing properly.

If your child ever needs any dental work because of cavities, we’ll discuss what your options are that best suit your child’s individual needs.

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is when a child needs dental care as a result of cavities. The sooner your child visits a pediatric dentist and establishes healthy oral habits, the less chance they’ll need restorative dentistry.

If your child needs restorative dentistry, we’ll make the process as relaxing, safe, and anxiety-free as possible. Depending upon how your child feels, we offer a variety of sedation methods.

Sedation

Oral Conscious Sedation

For children that have high anxiety surrounding dental procedures, we offer oral conscious sedation. The medications given to the child enhance their cooperation and reduce their anxiety. They’re not unconscious during the procedure and can breathe on their own. Their vital signs are monitored through the entire process.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation is the most popular method used to help our patients feel comfortable during restorative dentistry procedures. Another term for it is “laughing gas.” It’s an effective and safe method that can calm a child’s fear.

If your child needs restorative dentistry, we’ll discuss the various sedation options with you so you can make a decision you feel comfortable with.

Hospital Sedation

Depending on the age, anxiety level, or individual needs of a patient, we may suggest hospital sedation. We also might suggest this for more time-consuming treatments. This works by putting the patient under general anesthesia. Under this sedation, children won’t have any memory of the procedure. It is a safe method that we employ on a case-by-case basis. Following treatment, we would discuss what occurred during the procedure as well as next steps with you and your child.

Featured Treatments

White Zirconia Crowns

White zirconia crowns are often used to restore a child’s teeth after decay or damage to the baby teeth and are most commonly used to treat severe cavities. White zirconia crowns are often a top choice as they very closely match the look of your teeth. These crowns can help you feel confident in your smile; they do not chip, break down or become discolored.

ICON White Spot Treatment

Icon white spot treatment is a highly effective and non-invasive treatment that works to remove white spots on the teeth. White spot lesions can be caused by a number of things such as discoloration, oral hygiene issues, trauma to the tooth, demineralization, or fluorosis. Whatever the cause of your white spots, Icon consists of a combination of micro-abrasion, etching, and light to color correct discoloration in the tooth. The treatment takes about an hour in total and will have you smiling brighter once it’s completed.
